Before moving into Hope Street Homes, my biggest concern was finding a safe and stable place for my 8-year-old son and me. After coming from a shelter, all I wanted was a home where we could finally feel secure and start rebuilding our lives. As a single mom, that meant everything to me. What has surprised me the most about renting from Hope Street Homes is how supported I've felt. When I first started working with the Hope Street Homes team, we were in a shelter. I was concerned about being treated with respect, but over all as a person. After we met the team that we were going to be working with to find us a home, I quickly realized that I wouldn’t have to worry about being seen as a person and being treated with the respect people deserve no matter where you come from or your situation. From, the beginning they kept in touch with the progress of the home we chose from beginning to move-in date. No matter how big or small the concerns are everyone on the Hope Street Homes team is respectful.
